Padre 12 - Finale

The end comes...

Padre 11 - The Beginning of the End

We begin the ending...

Padre 10 - Don't Worry, Be Happy

Number ten in my series about my mother and father...their lives, and their deaths. This particular video details my father's decline, but also his great good humor.

Padre 9 - Home

Part 9 of the series. This one is about the life we established with him at home, in the week we thought he still might recover.

Padre 8 - obituary

Number eight...this one is a little different. In it, I read the obituary I wrote for my father. There are also, of course, many pictures of my family.

If I did catch the real spirit of my Dad in these, at least I think I gave a little hint.

Padre 7 - Hospice

They finally let my father go home, after I'd forced the issue, and we found ourselves in the new world of hospice...

Padre 6 - Biopsy

Number six in my series of short videos in homage of my mother and father. This deals with the biopsy that was supposed to happen...but which never did...and which caused my father great suffering through thirst and hunger.

Padre 5 - Mass

Part five of my ongoing series about the lives and deaths of my parents. This one involves the discovery of a mass in my father's lung.

Padre 4 - The Emergency Room

The fourth episode in my series about the deaths of my parents. This one is about going to the ER with my father.

Padre 3 - The EMTs

The third in my series of short videos regarding my mother and father. This one involves the coming of the EMTs.

Padre 2 - the bedroom

This is the second in my ongoing series of short videos about the lives, and the deaths, of my parents. You may want to watch the first to understand what’s happening in here.

Briefly, though, this relates the story of the rather awful day I walked in and found my father on the floor.

Padre 1 - Introduction

This is the first of my videos about my mother and father. It introduces them, and explains my intent. Though, later, of course, I decided I couldn't make them so very public and have restricted access to only those who knew my parents, or had some connection to them through me.

"My father died as he did everything else, brilliantly..."

What this blog is about

This blog is meant as an homage to my mother and father, Ethel W. Tucker and T.J. Tucker. My mom passed on in 2014 and my father in 2015. As a way of working out my grief, I decided to do a number of little videos that would detail my father’s last few days.

Originally, I meant these to go along with a book that I was doing about them as well. But, then, I realized that the videos were far too personal to share with everyone in the world. Therefore, rather than post them to Youtube or Facebook, I’ve made them available to only a few individuals who either knew my parents, or had some unique connection to them.

I have posted links to these videos here.
